Task 1

Read the short dialogue between two students of English and their teacher:

 

Ana: Hello, how are you? My name is Ana, and your name is…

Helena: I am Helena, and this is my friend Melania, nice to meet you.

Melania: Nice to meet you Miss Ana.

Ana: It’s my pleasure. You can just call me Ana. I am your English teacher. Is this your first time in England?

Melania: This is my first time here. Helena, and you?

Helena: Yes, this is the first time I am away from home.

Ana: You must be so excited. Tell me something about yourself. Where are you from?

Helena: I am Portuguese.

Melania: I am from Spain.

Ana: Beautiful countries. I want to leave England and live in Spain or Portugal. I miss sunny days!

Helena: Where are you from, Ana? 

Ana: I was born in Barbados, but I live 20 years in England now. It’s time to start our lesson now. Open your books on page 2…
